Autism Unites (formerly Dance Into Unity) was officially established in January 2007 as a 501(c)(3) organization. Autism Unites has been actively working in the community since 2006 to increase autism awareness.
Using it’s model of community integration called Match-A-Friend, young adults with autism are paired to companions that facilitate problem solving, stress management, and positive social connections at home, at work, and in the community. The experience of developing a true and lasting connection motivates the young adult to make healthy life choices.
